Christ Point Academy Leadership

Scott & Melanie Jones

Founders

My husband and I opened Christ Point Academy in 2020 in oder to help provide support to our homeschool community. Our own homeschool experiences led us to step out in faith and begin this program. We homeschooled our daughter most all of her school years and she is now a freshman in college at the University of Mobile where she is pursing a nursing degree and also plays college volleyball. Twelve years after Haley was born God blessed us with another child which we had been praying for for many years. Both of my children are very social and have a deep desire to be with other children. Our heart and vision for this place is to create a community for students to develop meaningful relationships with other believers that will hopefully encourage them on their walk with Christ. It is our mission to provide academic support for homeschool families by helping teach the core classes at an affordable cost. It has been an amazing first year and we are excited about the opportunity to continue making this place better and better for our kids.

Director- PreK4/Kindergarten

Sheela Sitaram

Ms. Sheela ensures alignment with the vision, mission of CPA and oversees the after school program.  Prior to her time at Christ Point, she spent 16 years as the State Pre-K teacher and Director of the S E YMCA Early Childhood Education Center. Sheela graduated with a B.A. in Social Sciences in India.  She was fortunate enough to attend a well-regarded school that professed strong educational and Christian values that has remained with her throughout her life.  It is this foundation that has allowed her to embrace her dream of teaching children. She started her teaching career as an aide in the school she attended and also did business and administrative work.  Sheela believes strongly in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it,” and “The first order of things to be changed is me, the leader.  After I consider how hard it is to change myself, then I will understand the challenge of trying to change others.  This is the ultimate test of leadership”. -John Maxwell
